Carbon Black K-354

carbon black (eng. Carbon black) — dispersed amorphous carbon material produced by combustion or thermal decomposition of gaseous or liquid hydrocarbons. Active channel carbon black produced in diffusion flames by thermal oxidative decomposition of natural or associated gas and the deposition on cooling trays – "channels." Is characterized by high dispersion and low structure.

Application:

1. Reinforcing filler in the manufacture of tyres, rubber compounds, extra strong industrial rubber and asbestos products. According to rubber mixtures the resistance to untimely vulcanization. Gives the vulcanizates and products high strength characteristics when exposed to static and dynamic loads.

2. Component adds special properties to plastics and polymers: conductivity, slowing of aging, the ability to absorb UV radiation, radar radiation.

3. Intense black pigment for coatings, materials and colouring of polymers. Forms stable dispersions, coated materials ensures a rich black color, protection from UV radiation and excellent appearance. Used for:

intensely black dyes, lacquers and coatings;

non-stick coating for casting and mechanical plants;

plastics, elastomers, ceramics;

synthetic fibers, plastic materials;

printing ink, carbon paper, tapes for typewriters, resinous materials (pastes, Shoe Polish);

in the perfume industry for the manufacture of mascara.

in construction for coloring concrete, cement, dry building mixtures in the production of sand-lime brick, paving and tile.
